I don’t think heaven and hell are compartmentalized so neatly. Different hallucinogens and different meditational techniques affect different parts of the brain and produce different “mystical” experience from what I’ve read.
Rick Strassman’s work with DMT shows that the divine experiences aren’t necessarily due to higher hemispheric function. The process of life review along with the heavens and hells in the Tibetan Book of the Dead would probably be altered if the two hemispheres can’t communicate. imo.
