Here’s another guest blog post from Anon, an ex-RSSB initiate. RSSB stands for Radha Soami Satsang Beas, an India-based religious organization headed up a guru that I belonged to for 35 years. GSD stands for Gurinder Singh Dhillon, the current RSSB guru.
RSSB CONSTANTLY recalibrates its positions on its own beliefs and positions. It makes it hard to know where you stand. They’re often subtly done and vague about it and it’s never announced. The script just changes. It can also create a situation where you YOURSELF are just trying to get onto solid ground. RSSB also weaponises hypocrisy for its own benefit.
That’s why there’s so many people arguing in these comments. It isn’t a question of ‘fundamentalism vs conservative vs liberal’ – which is in many religions. People are genuinely debating the core essential principles of RSSB.
This constant destabilising is an abuse tactic. The whole thing is a GAME.
You’re taught by RSSB:
-This is a spiritual path (and therefore better)
-This is a spiritual place (not a worldly place – and you can’t trust the world as it’s all an illusion and fake and the domain of kal/devil
-You are elevated souls marked souls (and therefore better)
-The leader of this path is a perfect living master, god in human form, messiah (and better than absolutely everybody)
These are the rules of the game.
At the same time, if anything bad or inappropriate happens at RSSB – the RSSB community (and even the master) will step in with a ‘party line’:
-Well, this can happen anywhere
-Well, there are no guarantees on this path
-People here are still people, they are no different anywhere else
-This place isn’t any different to anywhere else
Some very different rules to the game.
Well, which is it?
Well, why even go here?
Then it isn’t that special or important?
I can just go off and do anything else then?
What are we all doing here then?
What TF is going on?
RSSB maintains its stronghold with an unverified claim of supremacy and then plausible deniability when challenged.
If you ever try to point this out or challenge it, you’ll be told:
-Don’t challenge the master
-Don’t question the teachings
-Your faith isn’t strong enough
-You haven’t understood it well enough
-It is harder for educated people to follow
-The mind is a weapon and cannot be trusted
Well explain it to me then?
I’m not trying to argue just trying to understand.
I understand it perfectly – I just don’t understand how it doesn’t add up.
Why are there these contradictions? I don’t have Alzheimers – I can remember stuff and I remember you telling me differently!
The response:
-Silence
-Focus on your meditation
-Do your simran (repeated chanting)
-Keep trying
You may ask a genuine question from a place of understanding and be seeking genuine clarity and they’ll have nothing to criticise you with. I call this the ‘game over’ moment. In those cases you’ll be dismissed with:
-Ask the master
You may try to continue the game. You may even seek the Game Master.
You may get the opportunity to ask him a question. I did once. At the time I felt like everything was going really badly. I look back now that I’m away from RSSB and realise I was just in an objectively bad life situation and was vulnerable and was seeking warmth – I was just emotionally bleeding. I was being lovebombed by RSSB people who presented RSSB as the solution to my problems. GSD said:
‘Look life is full of phases. Maybe this is your push in the right direction.’ with a warm knowing smile and a flourishing grand hand gesture, and then held his silence.
At the time it was filled with a pregnant pause and some deep seated mysticality. Maybe he knew something I didn’t know.
MAYBE.
AND MAYBE NOT.
Nothing definitive though.
Hey not gonna lie – he was useful. Life IS full of phases. But anyone can tell you that. I’m still grateful for that though. But let’s not pretend that’s a deep mystical secret. At that moment – it was a kinder person much older than me just being nice and for that I am really grateful and I still believe that, now I think about it. And yes, he spoke to me very kindly and very nicely and I needed that.
Was it the push in the right direction?
No. I was in an objectively bad situation and needed to rectify it. When I did, everything was fine.
I fixed the issue on my own with an appropriate solution and everything worked out for me. This was not due to RSSB or the guru and I did that away from RSSB.
For a long time I thought the Guru had the answer. Now I look back and realise he was warm and maybe told me what I needed to hear / maybe he was being kind. He didn’t solve my problem though – I DID. ON MY OWN.
The only difference is – now I take credit for the work of my own actions. That’s MY karma, dude.
How many other people have literally just saved themselves and credited it to the guru?
The guru always uses the example of “Let’s say you fall into a hole into a ditch. Someone comes along and offers to help you. You’re too busy asking ‘Where is this hole? How did I get into here? How will you do it? How will I get out? How long is the rope?’ Then the person walks off and you’ve missed your chance.”
This is the RSSB response to questions. If you ask too many questions the helper will abandon you!
Here’s an alternative based on what really happens.
You fall in a hole because the road is just messy – some bits are smooth some are not. You might get stuck. You feel bad. You get yourself out eventually. There is some guy standing nearby and you can hear his voice a lot. Some of the stuff he says is useful and some isn’t and some is plain weird but he basically says ‘Trust me bro”. You give credit for helping you get out of the hole. He happily takes credit and implies it was him. He suggests falling into the hole was a deep mystical spiritual experience designed to put you on the right path. You were already on the road in the first place.
I’d like to thank him for speaking to me kindly and with warmth. That is basic human decency and I did receive that. But I cannot give this person credit for helping me out of a hole that I got myself out of objectively. He did not help me in that situation – I did, and others did. Do not make the mistake of giving credit to someone who did not do it. I can still thank them for what I am sure they HAVE done (which was be nice to me and say a nice thing to me) but I cannot thank them for tangible solutions in my life which were the result of my own efforts and not theirs. That’s basically spiritual plagiarism.
He DID support me in that moment – but just as a nice person helping someone who was maybe a bit upset. That is all. I don’t know if that makes someone my master or a perfect living guru – that is literally just basic humanity. That is not unique to any ‘guru’. For a long time that was my baseline and evidence as this person being my guru. It’s now just my basic standard expectation of decent behaviour from other people, and it should be yours too.

straw man
/ˈstrô ˌman,ˈsträ ˌman/
noun
1. An intentionally misrepresented proposition that is set up because it is easier to defeat than an opponent’s real argument.
“her familiar procedure of creating a straw man by exaggerating their approach”
How do you tell somebody that there’s nothing new under the Sun and no new teachings when they’re just waiting for the next new computer phone app to come out.
Regarding his recent comments about American politics and cults, it would be uncharitable of me not to admit that this blog’s author has a point.
On X today, Glenn Greenwald explains the nuance:
“If — as Trump again said last night — MAGA means nothing more than fealty to whatever Trump believes when he wakes up (even if it’s the exact opposite of what he said he believed the day before), then it is, by definition, a cult, not a political movement. That’s why MTG has said there’s a fundamental difference between MAGA (a cult of personality and leader-worship) and America First (a fixed set of ideological values).”
I concur. In politics or religion, when personalities override principles, there’s a problem.
Gurinder Singh Dhilion is considered to be God in human form that’s Gurinder Singh Dhilion aka Radha Soami Cult Leader.
Who’s been exposed and ripped apart by all for being a con artist Baba who has Drug relations and has always been lying and Stealing money, land and properties from all who’s he been in contact with.

The only SEVA Gurinder Singh Dhilion has been abusing is the one which he’s lined his pockets up with the millions of dollars of Seva your money! Oh and pushing Drugs too $$$
Flights everywhere free, does F..k all, eats freebies everywhere and tells all its all his plan. For the suffering and struggling to make ends meet says its all theyre karma.

What a crook he lives of the sangats seva money doesn’t work A HONEST LIVING And LIFE IS FAIR LOL
Gurinders trial of fraud, criminal activities, drugs thugs and mugs and a lot more than he would have bargained for and soon see what he’s got himself in to a hell hole.

This piece of trash Gurinder Singh Dhilion and Jassdeep fake soami , Radha Soami Cult has to be binned and thrown out forever if anyone is to find God himself in this shit hole called earth of Kaals (devil) and his Kaal Baba ( devil baba)
I honestly feel like we’ve reached a point where serious reflection is needed. When people start saying that even AI could probably do a better job than GSD or Gill, it’s not really about technology — it’s a sign of deep frustration. It reflects a growing feeling that something essential may be missing in the current leadership of Radha Soami Satsang Beas.
For many followers, the path was always about simplicity, humility, transparency, and spiritual depth. When leadership starts to feel distant, overly administrative, or disconnected from the everyday struggles of ordinary sangat, people naturally begin to question. Comparing it to AI suggests a desire for clarity, fairness, consistency, and accountability — qualities people feel are lacking.
This isn’t about disrespecting individuals like Gurinder Singh Dhillon or Gurpreet Singh Gill personally. It’s about expecting better stewardship of a spiritual legacy that means so much to millions. Faith should inspire confidence and trust, not confusion or doubt.
Maybe it truly is time for change — not just in faces, but in approach, transparency, and reconnecting with the original spirit of the teachings. A spiritual organization thrives when its leadership evolves with sincerity and accountability. If people are speaking up now, it’s because they care about the future of the sangat and the integrity of the path.

>> If people are speaking up now, it’s because they care about the future of the sangat and the integrity of the path.<<
Just read this a couple of times and ask yourself whether that should be the concern of the student, practitioner.
What does an devout person need more than his faith?
The reform of the church?
What does an average satsangi need more that to practice what he has promised to take on, meditation etc?
The transform of the teachings, presentation of them or the organisation?
It is that clear, that simple, that transparent .. an humble spiritual practice and way of living
What can withold anybody from doing that … well .. maybe bad coffee.
@ Rinku
Who is going to frustrate you in the privacy of your own house, your own room, sitting on your own spot?
What more is there?
You need not to disciss with anybody about what you practice, you need not even set a step within the Dera, go to satsang interact with other satsangi’s
If these things are not of help .. stay awat from them ..you need nothing and nobody to do what you promissed to do with love and devotion. ..not ven the guru.
The author is clearly distraught.
Swami Ji wrote about this nearly two hundred years ago:
“I am helpless. My mind won’t be still. I can’t find lasting happiness, and I can only pray to you through my limited understanding.”
The problem, which Anon makes clear, is the notion of “I”.
“He did not help me in that situation – I did,”
Who is the you that did this in isolation? Who is the ‘he’ you didn’t see?
To paraphrase Job from the Bible, “How can someone without power help a powerless man? And how can anyone who is ignorant teach an ignorant man? How can you heal a lifeless limb? How can you heal without the power to heal?”
Of course it is one of the four vows that we must learn to stand on our own two feet.
But here is the incredible mystery, and the miracle.
It is when things have settled down that we can really see how those around us have been helping us all along. And how we ourselves are not in isolation at all. And how we did nothing on our own. And that Love moved us to act when we wanted someone else to do it for us.
Don’t compound your past ignorance. Accept the miracle. You stood up!
We have our part to play. No escape there. But we are made of the stars and of such stuff that can’t really be separated.
Perhaps one day Anon will see this, will experience it. Seed has been planted. And that day will be glorious.
Hi Rinku
You wrote
“Faith should inspire confidence and trust, not confusion or doubt.”
So you say. But is it so?
“I’ve said before that every craftsman
searches for what’s not there
to practice his craft.
” A builder looks for the rotten hole
where the roof caved in. A water-carrier
picks the empty pot. A carpenter
stops at the house with no door.
“Workers rush toward some hint
of emptiness, which they then
start to fill. Their hope, though,
is for emptiness, so don’t think
you must avoid it. It contains
what you need!
” Dear soul, if you were not friends
with the vast nothing inside,
why would you always be casting your net
into it, and waiting so patiently?”
Rumi
Welcome confusion. The soil is being tilled. It can never be set as it was again. Thank God!

When you are spinning round and round.”

What a lot of fuss these various belief systems reap; whether that’s from the mainstream religions or the multitude of spiritual teachings and cults that seem to draw people into them, usually with some metaphysical promises or rewards.
We’re a sad lot, us humans, always looking for that something more, whether it’s the new this or that which the ads parade before us, or we invest in some leader (whether in the realms of spirituality or politics) who we hope or believe will make life (and death) more comfortable and appealing for us.
This Anon character seems to be only repeating the inevitable results of disenchanted followers who invested so much in someone else’s explanation of what life (and death) is all about. It’s a common story, no doubt to be repeated in every generation that seeks something other in life than simply this.
@ Ron E.
If there is no culture, no artificial, imaginative nature, there would not be artificial objects to be hunted or gathered for food, for survival.
In nature individual sentient beings hunt and gather for food and survival and do so in groups if there is a common interest.
Whatever misery would come directly from their moment in the surroundings could be addressed in the here and know but if you suffer day in day out without being able to relate it to your here and now,you will search, find and be happy with any solution… The venerable Gautama did so.
Maybe if he had owned the misery, by realizing that it was inflicted by his own elite, and addressed it, there would never have been Buddhism.
Um. Pretty irrelevant comment um, and unrelated to the discussion.
@ Ron E,
That must be due to the brand of tea or coffee you drink.
But don’t worry Ron, there are worst things in the world than not understanding another person’s point of view an/of attributing meaning and value to it.
Instead of telling me that there is something wrong ask yourself what is going on with yourself. ..it might be a simple digesting problem.
There must be something of value and meaning that you attributed to my words that gets under your skin … and .. i did not put it there.
Um. You seem to prefer enigmatic-sounding comments (which is fine by me) that give the impression of sagacity, such as those found in the guru world. My world is more straightforward, preferring straight answers. To me, such answers as yours can be very mental, relying on metaphors.
And you cannot assume what the Buddha (if he ever existed) experienced – well, you can if you choose, but such is your own opinion and for you only.
A guy joins a monastery. There’s a rule of silence, but every five years the monks can say two words.
Five years pass. The abbot calls him in for an interview, “What two words would you like to say?” He answers, “Bed hard.”
Five more years pass. Time for his interview. Same question. He answers, “Food bland.”
Now it’s fifteen years. This time he yells, “I QUIT!!!” The abbot says, “Well, I’m not surprised. You’ve done nothing but complain.”
And the Monk replied to the Abbott , “Two Words!!””
Ha!
…At that the abbot entered nirvana.
This path has always been fake, right from its origins from agra to beas. If charan was enlightened how the hell did he select gurinder the clown ? The answer is that he wasn’t enlightened and had to reach out to osho. Also why is the rssb lineage in the same crooked, mafia family ? it’s all about inheritance of assets. The family is all a bunch of crooks, they launder drug money through the rssb so called charity. And what’s more they have no remorse because fundamentally it has very dark and negative origins. This can be proved by the satanic mantra, jot niranjan which means light of kaal. It is game over to this womanizing, peodophile sympathizing, wife murdering drug dealing family. EPSTEIN baba of PUNJAB.
And what does the word name Kranvir mean??
Is it starting to make more sense now? Western hemisphere versus Eastern hemisphere. Travel bans. Visa and transportation problems. Radhasoami
Dr. Ishwar Puri kept saying that Sawan Singh initiated him when he was only 9 years old. He said that the destiny of Spirituality was, that Spirituality would be transferred, and relocated, from East to West, and was why Ishwar Puri was building the Western Dera in Bruce, Wisconson, and was why he was acting as the human Perfect Living Master , under the duty to make America the Western Dera, and make, he, Ishwar Puri, the American Perfect Living Master. Only problem was, Ishwar was an Indian, not an American. I “assume” , most Churchless members reading here, know Ishwar Puri’s history, and have listened to some of his many You Tube lectures. Well, it appears that Sawan’s Prophecy, of Eastern Spirituality being transferred from East to West has not been fulfilled, because no American Perfect Living Master has surfaced, to fulfill the Prophecy.
WHEN will the REAL AMERICAN, not INDIAN, Sant Sat Perfect Living Master step up and claim the Mantle? So Sawan Singh’s Prophecy of Spirituality transfer of East to West will happen?
Nominations are now in order, if Churchless Members care to do their Spiritual Patriotic duty, of ELECTING a new. AMERICAN Sant Sat Guru to keep the Sach Khand Express transporting Marked Souls to Anami Purush Radhasoami. Turbines are no longer accepted for Nominees.
Well, Folks, I have Good News, especially for the “Marked Elect.” WE, are the Chosen, not the Jews! We are those who have asked CHRIST to be our Savior, and have been Baptised , and have confessed with our mouths that Christ has saved us. WE are the Predestinated Elect as described in the Bible, out lined by The Apostle Paul.
Sawan Singh’s prophecy of Spirituality being transferred from the East to the West, has already happened, when the first Catholic Pope was chosen, and he is an American born in Chicago! America no longer requires Eastern Indians to travel to America to save the Marked Elect! WE already have become Temples of The Holy Spirit, which our our Human bodies, as soon as we accept Christ as our Savior, and verbally confess with our mouths that we “believe” that Christ rose from the dead.

I was dedicated to Christ as a Baby, by my Catholic parents and Baptised by a Priest, and as soon as I became of age, had my First Communion, which symbolically, was, is, Parshad of Christ, that later, was Confirmed by a Catholic Bishop.
I strayed from the Catholic Church, for a decade, but was reunited by Christ at age 35, with my “”Born Again” experience , then Baptised in The Holy Spirit evidenced by speaking in Tongues, and then being Baptised in Water in a Spirit Filled Christian Church.
My Blog shares my Spiritual Journey. But SPIRITUALITY is still fully manifested in Americas, to the Marked Elect, who know where to look, and how to recognize we are Saved, and do not need any Turbined bearded Gurus to come save us.
@ Mr. Sutherland
All religions, spiritual traditions etc are like cloth ..they are all different adaptations to the surroundings but the function is universal.
In a globalized world, none of these regional universals [religious Unique unique variations of the same universal truth] can survive.
So they all have to become “naked” and recognize their sameness and find ways for an universal expression acceptable for all.
Some of these traditions will have more problems doing so than others and some will have to fight themselves to the grave as they are so attached to their uniqueness.
Things as awareness, consciousness are available to all, they are unique. To use a practice to alter consciousness etc by necessity must also be universal.
And the living circumstances must allow any human being to spend some time and effort to practice.
Plants cannot grow everywhere and they all look different, in reaction to their environment but they all need the same elements to grow and flourish
The role of teachers for that reason has to change as well as all forms of rituals and ceremonies. and the teaching must be the same, irrespective of the language .. in those days nobody will identify him or herself with that teaching and practice wearing visible attire …. that means that all the world religions will disappear from the scene and their teachings only of interest for spiritual archaeology
