The supreme fiction of Wallace Stevens
Following up on my previous post about John Gray's "The Silence of Animals," here's some passages from another part of the book that I liked a lot, a section called The Supreme Fiction. This is pretty much how I've come to look upon spirituality: believing in a fiction that we know to be such. Not true, but attractive.
